w • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. / V) -44/p, <br /> AN ORDINANCE creating a special construction fund <br /> entitled "Combined Sewer Overflow Control" Fund No. <br /> 382 and authorizing planning, design, and <br /> construction. <br /> WHEREAS, controlling the City's combined sewer overflows will benefit <br /> the receiving water quality of the Snohomish River and Port Gardner Bay; <br /> WHEREAS, the State Department of Ecology has mandated the City to <br /> submit an combined sewer overflow control plan by January 1, 1988; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Everett City Council that: <br /> Section 1: A special construction fund is hereby established as Fund <br /> No. 382, entitled "Combined Sewer Overflow Control" to accomplish the actions <br /> authorized in subsequent sections of tlii:; ordinance. <br /> Section 2: Authorization is hereby given to plan, design, and <br /> construct combined sewer overflow control facilities. <br /> Section 3: The total estimated cost of the project herein authorized <br /> is $200,000, which will include all cost related to planning, design and <br /> construction. <br /> Section 4: The Public Works Director is hereby given the <br /> responsibility of conducting all tasks outlined under Section 2 above. <br /> Section 5: The sum of $200,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund No. 382 <br /> "Combined Sewer Overflow Control": <br /> 1. Program 872 - Planning $200,000 <br /> 2. Program 873 - Design 0 <br /> 3. Program 874 - Construction 0 <br /> The source of funds for Program 872 shall be: <br /> Program 872: <br /> From Utility Fund 401 $200,000 <br /> TOTAL $200,000 <br /> Section 6: The City Treasurer of the City of Everett is hereby <br /> authorized to obtain interim financing which may be in any form permitted by <br /> law. Interim financing liabilities shall be paid by the Treasurer as soon as <br /> permanent financing monies, from sources as described elsewhere in this <br /> Ordinance, are received. <br /> -1- <br />
