] ORDINANCE NO. ^ 2 AN ORDINANCE relating to dangerous dogs, amending Section 2 of 3 Ordinance No. 1228-86, and adding a new section to Ordinance No. 1228-86. 4 5 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 6 Section 1: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1228-86, which reads as follows: 7 8 Section 2: Definitions. As used in this chapter: 9 A. "Owner" means any person or legal entity having a possessory property right in a dog or who harbors, cares for, exercises control 10 over, or knowingly permits any animal to remain on premises occupied by them. 11 B. "Dangerous dog" means: 12 1. Any dog with a known propensity, tendency, or disposition to 13 attack unprovoked, to cause injury to, or to otherwise endanger the safety of humans or other domestic animals; or 14 2. Any dog which attacks a human being or other domestic 15 animal without provocation. 16 C. A dangerous dog is "unconfined" if such dog is not securely confined indoors or confined in a securely enclosed and locked pen 17 or structure upon the premises of the owner of such dog. Such pen or structure must have secure sides and a secure top. If the pen or 18 structure has no bottom secured to the sides, the sides must be embedded into the ground no less than one foot. 19 20 is hereby amended to read as follows: 21 Section 2: Definitions.
