EVERETT STATION PARK-AND-RIDE EXPANSION
Agreement with Perteet Inc. January 2018
• HWA QA/QC:HWA will have all design calculations and recommendations reviewed by a senior
principal prior to distribution to the design team or the Everett Transit.
• Project Coordination Meetings:HWA will attend up to one(1)project coordination meeting at
Perteet's Everett Office.HWA's attendance will be used to convey the geotechnical considerations of the
site to Everett Transit and the design team.
• Prepare Draft Geo-technical Engineering Report:HWA will prepare a draft geotechnical engineering
report for the project. This report will contain the results of the geotechnical engineering investigation,
•
including description of surface and subsurface conditions;a site plan showing exploration locations and
other pertinent features;summary boring logs;and laboratory test results. The report will provide
geotechnical recommendations for each of the proposed improvements.
• Prepare a Final Geotechnical Engineering Report:HWA will finalize our geotechnical report once we
receive review comments from Perteet and the Everett Transit.
Project Management
• Invoice Generation and Processing:HWA will prepare monthly invoices and progress reports for the
duration of the design phase of the project.
• Geotechnical Task Management:HWA will provide geotechnical task management to all
geotechnical related aspects of the project.HWA will correspond with the City and the design team in
the form of emails, fax, and telephone calls,as necessary.
Assumptions:
• The geotechnical explorations proposed herein will not be used to assess site environmental conditions.
However,visual-or olfactory observations regarding potential contamination will be noted.Analysis,
testing, storage, and handling of potentially contaminated soil and ground water(either sampled or
spoils from drilling)are beyond this scope of services. If contaminated soils and/or ground water are
encountered, the material will be properly contained on-site for disposal as mutually agreed upon
without additional cost to HWA.
• All non-contaminated drilling spoils and related debris will be drummed on site and transported off site
for disposal by the drilling subcontractor.
• HWA assumes that they will not attend any project coordination meetings other than the kick off
meeting.
• All Field explorations will be conducted between the hours of 8AM to 5PM.
• No Phase]or Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment will be completed by HWA.
• No Pilot Infiltration Testing will be performed by HWA.
• All required rights of entry will be provided by Everett Transit or Perteet at no cost to HWA.
• Onsite Infiltration will not be used for this project.
• The borehole locations will be surveyed by others. -
• The site soils will support standard plan luminaire foundations design. No non-standard foundation
design will be required.
• Relatively disturbed-subsurface soil samples will be collected from the borings using the Standard
Penetration Test(SPT)at intervals of 2.5 feet.
17
File location:X:\Everett,City of\Promo Efforts\20170146-Everett Station P&R Expansion\Promo\Business Development\Scope\Everett Transit Parking
Lot_Scope1018-1-10.docx 9 9
