• 411)
Kelsey Heyd
From: Kelsey Heyd
Sent: Monday, January 09, 2017 9:23 AM
To: 'ggibuilders@yahoo.com'
Subject: B1612-009 - Proposed Addition at 2916 100th St SE - Planning Corrections
Attachments: Building Height Handout.pdf
Good Morning Dave,
Thank you for submitting plans for the proposed addition at 2916 100th St SE, permit B1612-009. Upon reviewing the
submittal, it has been determined that the following corrections are needed for Planning:
1. Height Calculations. Height calculations should be taken from the midpoints around the smallest rectangle
that fits around the footprint of the building. See the attached building height handout for reference. On the
site plan, please provide the height calculations, including the benchmark, average base elevation, and
average height noted. Note: if the height of the proposed addition is within one (1)foot of the maximum
building height, surveys are required from a professional land surveyor. Refer to EMC 19.39.180 and the
attached building height handout.
2. Accessory buildings (attached or detached) shall not exceed fifteen feet in height per Everett Municipal Code
19.07.020.J.The height of the roof over the covered porch area is proposed at 16 feet. This needs to be
brought down to 15 feet to comply with the above-mentioned Code section OR proceed with a Rev II
Accessory Building application for an overheight accessory building. This application would allow for a
maximum height of twenty feet. The application fee is $776 and the application packet is available on our
website, here. Please revise plans or submit for the overheight accessory building application.
Upon submission of the revised plans, your application will be given priority and plan review will resume. Please include
a Transmittal Sheet (available online at https://everettwa.gov/169/Permits or at the Permit Services Counter-2nd Floor,
3200 Cedar Street) with your resubmittal. Please note that additional comments or corrections may be required upon
review of the requested information. If you have any questions about the above-mentioned corrections, feel free to
email or call me directly at the number listed below and I'm happy to be of assistance.
Thanks,
Kelsey Heyd
Assistant Planner
City of Everett Planning Department
Direct: 425.257.7275
Permit Services:425.257.8810
NOTICE: All emails, and attachments, sent to and from City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to
the Public Records Act(RCW 42.56)
1
