Recycled Content of Steel Products: Provide products with an average recycled <br />content of steel products so postconsumer recycled content plus one-half of <br />preconsumer recycled content is not less than 60 percent. <br />B. Reinforcing Bars: ASTM A 615/A 615M, Grade 60, deformed. <br />C. Low -Alloy -Steel Reinforcing Bars: ASTM A 706/A 706M, deformed. <br />D. Plain -Steel Welded Wire Reinforcement: ASTM A 185/A 185M, plain, fabricated from <br />as -drawn steel wire into flat sheets. <br />2.3 REINFORCEMENT ACCESSORIES <br />A. Plate Dowels — Construction Joints: Plate dowels shall consist of smooth steel plate <br />bars, ASTM A36 steel. Plate dowels shall be Diamond Dowel System by PNA <br />Construction Technologies or approved equal. Dowel size and spacing shall be as <br />indicated on drawings. <br />B. Plate Dowel Baskets — Saw Cut Contraction Joints: Plate dowel basket assembly shall <br />consist of smooth steel plate bars, ASTM A36 steel, and wire side frame supports. <br />Plate dowel baskets shall be PD3 Basket Assembly by PNA Construction Technologies <br />or approved equal. Dowel size and spacing shall be as indicated on drawings. <br />C. Armored Edge — Construction Joints: Leave -in -place armored joint protection system <br />on full -depth, pre -fabricated units shall be Armor -Edge All Steel Joint Assembly by <br />PNA Construction Technologies or approved equal. <br />D. Bar Supports: Bolsters, chairs, spacers, and other devices for spacing, supporting, <br />and fastening reinforcing bars and welded wire reinforcement in place. Manufacture <br />bar supports from steel wire, plastic, or precast concrete according to CRSI's "Manual <br />of Standard Practice," of greater compressive strength than concrete and as follows: <br />1. For concrete surfaces exposed to view where legs of wire bar supports contact <br />forms, use CRSI Class 1 plastic -protected steel wire or CRSI Class 2 stainless - <br />steel bar supports. <br />2.4 CONCRETE MATERIALS <br />A. Cementitious Material: Use the following cementitious materials, of the same type, <br />brand, and source, throughout Project: <br />1. Portland Cement: ASTM C 150, Type 1/II. Supplement with the following: <br />a. Fly Ash: ASTM C 618, Class F. <br />b. Ground Granulated Blast -Furnace Slag: ASTM C 989, Grade 100 or 120. ' <br />B. Normal -Weight Aggregates: ASTM C 33, Class 2M in slabs and 3M in balance of <br />coarse aggregate or better, graded.
