At the contractor's election the product listed in this section, or an approved <br />comparable product, may be used in lieu of light gage track sections or dimensional <br />lumber for the purposes listed below. <br />B. Flexible Wood Backing Plate: Heavy-duty flexible wood backing plate system <br />composed of 1/" plywood sections interconnected by flexible metal connector plates for <br />attachment of wall -hung fixtures and accessories in conjunction with metal stud <br />framing. <br />1. Basis -of -Design product: Danback by Dietrich metal Framing <br />C. Plywood shall be fire -retardant treated to meet Factory Mutual Class I standards. <br />D. Application locations: Provide product in locations indicated on Drawings, and the <br />following: <br />1. Support for base cabinets and wall -hung cabinets. <br />2. Support for wall -mounted accessories such as: <br />a. Projection screens, marker boards, flat panel televisions, etc. <br />2.6 PLYWOOD BACKING PANELS <br />A. Equipment Backing Panels: DOC PS 1, Exposure 1, C-D Plugged, in thickness <br />indicated or, if not indicated, not less than 3/4-inch nominal thickness. <br />1. Plywood shall be painted after installation with fire -retardant paint. <br />2.7 PROTECTIVE PLYWOOD WAINSCOT <br />A. Partitions on the factory floor or exposed to material handling operations shall be sided <br />with a protective plywood wainscot to a minimum of four (4) feet above floor level. <br />B. Plywood wainscot: DOC PS 1, Sanded A-C, Southern Yellow Pine, not less than 3/4- <br />inch nominal thickness. <br />1. Plywood shall be fire -retardant treated to meet Factory Mutual Class I standards. <br />2.
