40-27 BUILDING INSULATED CORE METAL WALL PANELS <br />BRPH ARCHITECTS -ENGINEERS, INC. <br />SECTION 07 42 16 - INSULATED CORE METAL WALL PANELS <br />' PART 1 - GENERAL <br />' 1.1 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A. Foamed -insulation -core vertical metal wall panel assembly, with related metal trim and <br />accessories. <br />1.2 RELATED REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Division 07 Section "Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim" for sheet metal copings, flashings, <br />reglets and roof drainage items not specified in this Section. <br />B. Division 07 Section "Joint Sealants" for field -applied joint sealants. <br />C. Division 07 Section "Formed Metal Wall Panels" for exposed -fastener, single -skin wall <br />panels. <br />1.3 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Wall System Design: Provide metal wall panel assemblies capable of withstanding the <br />effects of gravity loads and the following loads and stresses within limits and under <br />conditions indicated, per ASTM E 72. Provide a metal wall panel system that is <br />identical to systems that have been successfully tested by a qualified testing and <br />inspecting agency to resist wind pressures calculated in accordance with 2012 IBC and <br />ASCE 7: <br />1. Design wind loads: <br />a. Outward wall pressure, Zone 4: -25.5 lb/sq. ft. <br />b. Outward wall pressure, Zone 5: -46.6 lb/sq. ft. <br />C. Inward wall pressure: 25.5 lb/sq. ft. <br />2. Deflection limits: Withstand test pressures of 150 percent of inward and outward <br />wind -load design pressures with maximum deflection of 1/180 of the span with no <br />evidence of failure. <br />3. Seismic Performance: Comply with ASCE 7 Sections 9, "Earthquake Loads." <br />B. FM Global Listing: Provide metal wall panels that are listed in FM Global's "Approval <br />Guide" for noncombustible construction. Identify materials with FM Global markings. <br />C.
