January 17, 2018 <br /> Authorize purchase of an Aerial Ladder Truck from Pierce <br /> Manufacturing through Hughes Fire Equipment, Inc., utilizing <br /> contract VH11574, in the amount of $1,243,057.20, including <br /> Washington State sales tax <br /> Presented by Theresa Bauccio- Teschlog, Purchasing <br /> COUNCIL BILL 1801-03: <br /> FIRST READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE Relating to For-Hire Vehicles, amending <br /> Ordinance No. 3553-17 (chapter 5.68 EMC) <br /> Presented by Katie Rathbun, Legal <br /> Caleb Weaver, Uber, spoke about the number of moving violations in the <br /> proposed ordinance. <br /> Council Member Murphy questioned the number of moving violations in the <br /> current proposed ordinance versus the number that Uber proposed. <br /> President Roberts requested that Legal work with Police to review the <br /> proposed ordinance. Ms. Rathbun stated she would follow up. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> Moved by Council Member Murphy, seconded by Council Member <br /> Bader, to approve the following consent items: <br /> RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No. 7207 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br /> $1,449,680.33 for the period of December 30, 2017, through January 5, <br /> 2018. <br /> 27 <br />
