#fP../y7A EVEIFETT RESOLUTION No. 7217 Resolution for Expenditure of 2018 Human Needs Grant Funding WHEREAS, the City allocates funding each year to be used for human needs programs; and WHEREAS, $329,400 is included in the 2018 budget for this purpose; and WHEREAS, an additional $109,800 is included in the 2018 budget to support the Everett Streets Initiative efforts/Safe Streets Plan; and WHEREAS, there exists in the community a call for funds to supplement human needs programs; and WHEREAS, the City Council adopted priorities for Human Needs funding on December 13, 2017; and WHEREAS, the Human Needs Committee supports funding services as necessary for achieving the goals of the Everett Streets Initiative and Safe Streets Plan; and WHEREAS, on January 17, 2018, the Human Needs Advisory Committee convened to consider and make annual recommendations to the City Council for allocation of these funds and voted to recommend funding as listed in Exhibit A to this Resolution; and WHEREAS, there was a special call was made for Human Needs Grant applications for qualified agencies to specifically provide Case Management Services to CHART individuals participating in the City's Safe Streets Housing First Scattered Program; and WHEREAS, based on the action of the Human Needs Advisory Committee at the January 17, 2018, meeting, the following recommendations for the programs listed in Exhibit A are provided to the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL that the Mayor or designee is authorized to execute a contract with each of the listed agencies for the programs and amount specified in Exhibit A.
