Get all pertinent information regarding the Everett Smelter Cleanup Site and working in this <br /> area at the Washington State Department of Ecology website at: <br /> http://ecy2.wa.gov/programs/tcp/sites_brochure/asarco/es_main.html <br /> 1.11 TEMPORARY UTILITIES FOR CONSTRUCTION PURPOSES <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall make all arrangements necessary to provide all temporary utilities for <br /> construction purposes and shall pay all costs associated those temporary utilities. Water for <br /> construction purposes will be furnished by the OWNER at no cost. The CONTRACTOR shall <br /> furnish all valves, hoses, connections and other devices as necessary to obtain sufficient water for <br /> construction and for filling and testing of water lines as required. Fire hydrant use is allowed only <br /> by permission of the utility owner. Backflow protection is required on all connections to potable <br /> water systems. <br /> 1.12 FIELD SERVICE BY MANUFACTURER'S REPRESENTATIVE <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall furnish the services of a manufacturer's or material supplier's <br /> representative for all major equipment and materials furnished by the CONTRACTOR or OWNER <br /> under this contract, to check, place in operation and test the installation, and train operating <br /> ' personnel. The manufacturer's representative shall be qualified and authorized to perform repairs <br /> and maintenance on the equipment. The above gives a general scope of the services desired from <br /> the manufacturer's representative. It will be the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR and the <br /> equipment manufacturer to determine detailed requirements. Costs for services of the <br /> manufacturer's representative shall be included in the proposal of the CONTRACTOR. The <br /> operator training mentioned above shall include sufficient time during the CONTRACTOR's <br /> operation and testing period to fully explain to the operating personnel the features of the <br /> equipment and maintenance thereof. <br /> 1.13 CONSTRUCTION WITHIN PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF-WAY <br /> When the work contemplated is wholly or partly within the right-of-way of a public agency such as <br /> a city, county or state, the OWNER will obtain from these agencies any right-of-way and street <br /> opening permits and all other necessary permit(s) required for the work. The CONTRACTOR shall <br /> abide by all regulations and conditions stipulated in the permit(s). Such conditions and <br /> requirements are hereby made a part of these specifications, as fully and completely as though the <br /> ' same were fully set forth herein. The CONTRACTOR shall examine the permit(s) granted to the <br /> OWNER by any city, county, state and federal agencies.
