I <br /> SECTION 03 11 00-CONCRETE WORK <br /> ' PART 1 GENERAL <br /> 1.1 SUMMARY <br /> A. The extent of concrete work is shown on the Drawings. <br /> B. Work includes providing formwork and shoring for cast-in-place concrete and installation into <br /> formwork of items such as reinforcing steel bar (rebar), anchor bolts, setting plates, bearing <br /> plates,anchorages,inserts,reveals, frames,nosings,sleeves and other items to be embedded in <br /> concrete. <br /> 1.2 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Codes and Standards <br /> Comply with the provisions of the following codes, specifications and standards, except as <br /> otherwise shown or specified here: <br /> ACI 301 "Specifications for Structural Concrete for Buildings" <br /> ACI 311 "Recommended Practice for Concrete Inspection" <br /> ACI 318 "Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete" <br /> ACI 347 "Recommended Practice for Concrete Formwork" <br /> ACI 304 "Recommended Practice for Measuring, Mixing, Transporting and Placing <br /> Concrete" <br /> Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute, "Manual of Standard Practice" <br /> Comply with building code requirements which are more stringent than the above and all <br /> OSHA requirements. <br /> B. American Society for Testing and Materials(ASTM) <br /> 1. Applicable Sections <br /> C. Workmanship <br /> The CONTRACTOR is responsible for correction of concrete work that does not conform to <br /> the specified requirements, including strength, tolerances and finishes. Correct deficient <br /> concrete as directed by the ENGINEER. The CONTRACTOR shall also be responsible for the <br /> cost of corrections to any other work affected by or resulting from corrections to the concrete <br /> work. <br /> D.
