Ordinance No. 3005-07 <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the adoption of the 2006 edition <br /> of the Uniform Plumbing Code and the Uniform Plumbing Code <br /> Standards, and repealing Ordinance No. 2769-04 (Chapter 16.04 <br /> EMC) . <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this ordinance serves to protect the public <br /> health, safety and welfare; <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the absence of the regulations adopted by <br /> this ordinance would create public harm and a public nuisance; <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the City is mandated by the State to <br /> implement and enforce the herein adopted code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council is aware that the 2006 Uniform Plumbing Code and <br /> the Uniform Plumbing Code Standards takes effect in all counties and all cities on July 1, <br /> 2007; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: This ordinance shall be known as the "Everett Plumbing Code." <br /> Section 2: Uniform Plumbing Code adopted. <br /> The Uniform Plumbing Code and the Uniform Plumbing Code Standards, <br /> together with Appendices A, B, D and H and the Installation Standards, as <br /> published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, <br /> as amended by Chapters51-56 and 51-57 Washington Administrative Code, <br /> being particularly the 2006 Edition thereof and the whole thereof, save and except <br /> such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended, are hereby adopted <br /> by reference and incorporated herein as fully as if set out at length herein, <br /> collectively herein referred to as the "code" unless specifically provided <br /> otherwise. <br /> Section 3: Purpose <br /> Section 101.2 of the 2006 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing code is hereby <br /> amended by addition of the following: <br /> A. It is expressly the purpose of this Code to provide for and promote the health, <br /> safety and welfare of the general public and not to create or otherwise establish or <br /> designate any particular class or group of persons who will or should be <br /> especially protected or benefited by the terms of this Code. <br /> - i - <br />
