The 3-inch main is located on the west side and the 6-inch main is located along the east side of Rainier Avenue. Those mains will be abandoned in-place. The approximately 7,000 feet of pipe being replaced has experienced 12 breaks since 1990,with four of those breaks occurring within the last five years. The project is ready to advertise for construction bids. There are no supplemental bidder requirements associated with this project. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Call for Bids for the construction of theater Main Replacement"S"Project.
