2. If your land use regulations do not allow,or do not address OSTFs, we would like to know whether
your Board of Directors would be willing to consider amending your regulations to allow for the
establishment of a treatment facility.
There is an acknowledgement that the need for an OSTF is great and is growing as a result of the opioid
epidemic in Snohomish County. However, there are few facilities in Snohomish County, and Everett is
being asked to consider allowing a second facility. I feel strongly that other local governments need to
accept their "fair share" of social service facilities, rather than continuing to increase the concentration of
such services in Everett. I look forward to hearing if the Tulalip Tribes Board of Directors is receptive to
hosting an OSTF and amending land use regulations to do so, if such amendments are necessary.
I look forward to your response and ask that you reply by March 10, 2017.
Sincerely,
Ray Stg,a son, or
Cc:Everett City Council
Tulalip Tribes Board of Directors
•
Exhibit 2 -page 27
