The 12-inch cast iron pipe in this location was installed in 1933 and is experiencing significant <br /> internal mineral deposit buildup reducing flow capacity by more than half. The replacement project will <br /> require constructing a temporary water bypass to keep businesses with water in order to remove the <br /> existing main and install the new 12-inch main in the same alignment. <br /> The project is ready to advertise for construction bids. There are no supplemental bidder requirements <br /> associated with this project.
