Planned Improvements Not Adding Student Capacity <br />The following is an outline of the projects that do not add capacity that are considered <br />necessary to accommodate and support the educational program in the District through <br />2011. <br />Elementary Schools <br />Complete modernizations of Garfield, View Ridge, Monroe and Jefferson elementary <br />schools and partial modernizations of Silver Lake and Whittier elementary schools. <br />Seismic upgrades at Hawthorne Elementary School. The total cost is estimated to be <br />approximately $90,900,000. <br />High Schools <br />Seismic upgrades at Everett High School. The total cost is estimated to be approximately <br />$2,700,000. <br />Other School Projects <br />District -wide upgrades to heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, technology <br />upgrades, upgrades to Memorial Stadium, rekeying district buildings, miscellaneous <br />upgrades District -wide and synthetic turf fields at two sites. The total cost is estimated to <br />be approximately $64,400,000. <br />Support Services <br />A new central bus facility on a 5.25 acre site to be located at 1220 — 1304 80th Street SW, <br />Everett, WA. The total cost is estimated to be approximately $5,700,000. <br />Facilities Needs 2012-2025 <br />Planned Improvements <br />In order to house the OFM Ratio projected enrollments from 2012 to 2025, as shown on <br />Table 7, the District would need to construct an additional 3 elementary schools, and the <br />equivalent of 2/3 of a middle school and 2/3 of a high school.
