RESOLUTION NO. 7223 /1P/m7A <br /> A RESOLUTION adopting the findings of the Regional Fare Forum Summary Report <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett, through Everett Transit, is a member of the One Regional Card <br /> for All (ORCA) program; and <br /> WHEREAS, ORCA program members desire to update the current system to incorporate <br /> technological improvements since program initiation in 2003; and <br /> WHEREAS, simplifying the ORCA program regional fare structure was identified by members <br /> as an effective way to reduce the cost of an updated ORCA system; and <br /> WHEREAS, a Fare Forum was held with members from each of the ORCA program <br /> participants governing bodies to develop recommendations for simplifying the ORCA regional <br /> fare structure; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Fare Forum published a Summary Report containing recommendations for <br /> simplifying the ORCA regional fare structure; and <br /> WHEREAS, the summary report recommended that the governing bodies of each program <br /> member adopt the findings of the report; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT THAT: <br /> The City Council adopts the findings of the Regional Fare Forum Summary Report. <br /> Councilmember Introducing Resolution <br /> Passed and Approved this 28th day of February, 2018. <br /> Paul Roberts, Coun President <br />
