GeoDesign observed that non-woven geotextile fabric had been laid out on top of the
spalls and the rest of the over-excavated lot subgrade. GeoDesign observed that crews were in the process of backfilling
the rest of the over-excavation with recycled concrete to bring up to planned foundation grade.
Lot 225:
GeoDesign observed that crews had placed non-woven geotextile fabric throughout the entire over-excavated lot subgrade.
GeoDesign observed crews begin to backfill the lot with 2-inch railroad ballast to bring up to planned foundation grade.
Lot 238:
GeoDesign observed that crews backfilling the over-excavated lot subgrade with 2-inch railroad ballast to bring up to
planned foundation grade.
The contractor was notified of GeoDesign's observations prior to GeoDesign's departure from the site. Craig informed
GeoDesign that crews plan to place all remaining backfill material in lifts and compact with a roller. Crews also plan to
place a thin lift of well-graded crushed rock on top of the foundations to smooth out the lots.
This report presents opinionsformed as restihn f our observation of activities relating to geotechnical engineering or environmental services,We rely on the contractor to comply with the plans and
specificit(onsthroughout'the duration of the project Irrespective of the presence of our representative.Out work does not Include supervision or direction of the contractor, the contractor's employees
eragents. Our firm Is not responsible, far Site safety. fhls(laid r'epoit Is a:pRAFT rkpreseniatlon or aur field observations, testing, and preliminaty recommendations.Tho report can only be considered
final upon review of the Gaolasign project manager,as indicated by initials In the"Reviewed pie section.
10700 Meridian Avenue North,Suite 402 I Seattle,WA 98133 I 206.838.9900
2502 Jefferson Avenue I Tacoma,WA 98402 I 253.203.0095
