GeoDesign recommends that any surficially loose and saturated material be-removed from the base of
the footing areas prior to the placement of concrete.
Lot 261:
Upon arrival,GeoDesign noted that DDS had completed excavation of the footing and crawl space area for Lot 261.
GeoDesign noted that the exposed foundation subgrade consisted of a brown to gray-brown silty SAND (f-m)with gravel
(f-c)which could generally be probed less than 2 inches using a 1/2 inch diameter soil probe. In-place density tests
indicated that exposed foundation subgrade material had been compacted to greater than 95% of its maximum dry density.
It is the opinion of GeoDesign that the foundation subgrade area observed today is currently suitable for support of the
intended structure.
