City of Everett Human Needs Grant <br /> January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018 <br /> Exhibit B <br /> Terms, Conditions and Projected Budget <br /> Organization: Work Force Development Center <br /> Program: WFDC Vocational Training and Apprenticeship Program <br /> Will spend the funds received for the specific purposes of: <br /> WFDC'S Vocational Training and Apprenticeship Program empower disabled, economically <br /> disadvantaged and at-risk youth to complete high school and develop the knowledge, skills and <br /> motivation to become economically self-sufficient as they grow into adults. Students are referred to <br /> the program from three dozen partner schools throughout Snohomish County and the north Puget <br /> Sound region as part of their individualized education plans which are mandatory for students with <br /> diagnosed disabilities. The program teaches students both hard and soft skills necessary for <br /> success in the workplace and in life. Through our intensive training and job placement program, <br /> student trainees learn vocational skills in the manufacturing and aerospace fields, as well as <br /> employability skills and a solid work ethic, enabling them to secure living wage employment after <br /> high school graduation. <br /> For the purposes of this grant, a unit of service is defined as: <br /> An hour of 1:1 vocational aerospace assembly mechanic training. <br /> Work Force Development Center anticipates this grant will fund a total of 540 hours per student <br /> units of service for (unduplicated count) thirteen Everett residents each during the 2018 calendar <br /> year. <br /> Work Force Development Center anticipates its budget for the year 1/1/2018 through 12/31/2018, <br /> by quarters, will be: <br /> First Qtr.
