City of Everett Human Needs Grant January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018 Exhibit B Terms, Conditions and Projected Budget Organization: Work Force Development Center Program: WFDC Vocational Training and Apprenticeship Program Will spend the funds received for the specific purposes of: WFDC'S Vocational Training and Apprenticeship Program empower disabled, economically disadvantaged and at-risk youth to complete high school and develop the knowledge, skills and motivation to become economically self-sufficient as they grow into adults. Students are referred to the program from three dozen partner schools throughout Snohomish County and the north Puget Sound region as part of their individualized education plans which are mandatory for students with diagnosed disabilities. The program teaches students both hard and soft skills necessary for success in the workplace and in life. Through our intensive training and job placement program, student trainees learn vocational skills in the manufacturing and aerospace fields, as well as employability skills and a solid work ethic, enabling them to secure living wage employment after high school graduation. For the purposes of this grant, a unit of service is defined as: An hour of 1:1 vocational aerospace assembly mechanic training. Work Force Development Center anticipates this grant will fund a total of 540 hours per student units of service for (unduplicated count) thirteen Everett residents each during the 2018 calendar year.
