City of Everett Human Needs Grant
January 1 through December 31, 2018
American Red Cross Snohomish County Chapter
Local Disaster Relief
EXHIBIT A: Program Summary
(Insert summary of services to be provided.)
•
Our Disaster Relief efforts meet our clients' emergency-related needs for housing, food, and clothing,
immediately and equitably. Our volunteer caseworkers are empowered to assist with the
aforementioned items, plus bedding, lost prescriptions and other medical needs on a case-by-case basis.
The first obective is to ensure that the affected residents have access to shelter, food and clothing
immediately. For an affected family, that might mean funding for three nights in a hotel, and funding for
food and clothing, and vouchers from other partner agencies. For larger events(large apartment
complexes, for example),we may open a shelter with food provided, and provide a voucher or funding
for clothing. Our caseworkers are then empowered to work with other agencies to find long-term
housing.
