ORDINANCE NO. l/ %-gfj <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 49( a ) of Ordinance No. <br /> 1138-85, the City ' s regulatory cable communications <br /> ordinance . <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> That Section 49( a) of Ordinance No. 1138-85 which reads <br /> as follows : <br /> ( a) Eligibility. The eligibility for the special rate <br /> considerations set forth in this section shall be limited <br /> to those Subscribers who qualify as a "low income senior" <br /> or as "low income permanently disabled" under the City' s <br /> prevailing standards and procedures. As of the date of <br /> this Ordinance, "low income" shall mean a person whose <br /> annual gross income is Seven Thousand Dollars ( $7, 000. 00) <br /> or less, as determined by the City of Everett . A senior <br /> citizen is defined as a person who is sixty-two ( 62) <br /> years of age or older . A person who is "permanently <br /> disabled" is a person who has been determined by the City <br /> of Everett to be permanently disabled and eligible for <br /> utility discounts by the City of Everett. The low income <br /> Subscriber must also be the owner-occupant of a single <br /> family residence or the legally responsible lessee of a <br /> rental residential unit . <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> ( a ) Eligibility.
