ORDINANCE NO. /167—a5 <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of <br /> the Alley lying South of 17th Street and East <br /> of Rockefeller. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett, did by <br /> Resolution No.a6G4 , duly adopt and fix the 18th day of September, 1985, <br /> at 7:00 p.m. , as the date for public hearing; and <br /> WHEREAS, due and legal notice of the time and place of said <br /> hearing and determination of said resolution has been given by the City <br /> Clerk in the manner prescribed by law; and <br /> WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for hearing, favorable <br /> statements and objections to the vacating of the herein described alley <br /> were heard and discussed; and <br /> WHEREAS, the above described alley was previously vacated on <br /> October 21, 1908 (Ordinance No. 960) to the Everett School District, <br /> subject to a reversionary interest if "the abutting properties are disposed <br /> by the School District to be used for private purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett School District No. 2 has declared their <br /> site as surplus to the existing and foreseeable needs of the school <br /> district, and as such, intends to dispose of the site; and <br /> WHEREAS, it now appears to the City Council of the City of <br /> Everett that the said alley (reversionary interest) resolved to be vacated <br /> should be vacated pursuant to the terms and conditions of this ordinance; <br />
