ORDINANCE NO. //C3 -��.• <br /> AN ORDINANCE extending the effective date of the City-wide <br /> interim billboard regulations and amending Section 5 of Ordinance <br /> No. 1129-85. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Ordinance No. 1129-85 established <br /> interim billboard regulations for the purpose of acting as a stop-gap <br /> measure to enable the City to study the issue of billboards; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Ordinance No. 1129-85 is effective <br /> until September 30, 1985; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that as a result of the study of this <br /> issue draft billboard ordinances are currently scheduled for review by City <br /> departments and the City's Planning Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the effective date of the interim <br /> billboard ordinance needs to be extended in order to provide adequate time <br /> for review of the draft ordinances; <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the City has complied with the <br /> requirements of the State Environmental Policy Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that proper notice has been provided to <br /> the citizens of Everett and that a public hearing has been held concerning <br /> the adoption of this ordinance; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 5 of Ordinance No. 1129-85 which reads as <br /> follows: <br /> Section 5: That this ordinance will be in effect until <br /> September 30, 1985, unless extended by the Everett City Council <br /> or earlier terminated. The Mayor is hereby authorized to take <br /> all steps necessary, including legal action, to enforce the <br /> provisions of this ordinance. <br /> be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />
