• <br /> • <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO. / <br /> 2 <br /> AN ORDINANCE reimplementing portions of the text of the C-2 zone by <br /> 3 amending Ordinance No. 3572 and repealing the adult use interim <br /> ordinances, Ordinance No.'s 1025-84 and 1031-84. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Council adopted an adult use interim <br /> 6 <br /> zone which was incorporated into the C-2 zone; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that upon the expiration of the interim zone it <br /> 8 <br /> is necessary to readopt portions of the C-2 text so that it will conform in its entirety <br /> 9 <br /> with the language which existed in the C-2 zone prior to the adoption of the adult use <br /> 10 <br /> interim zone; <br /> 11 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 12 <br /> Section 1: That Subsection B of Section 14 of Ordinance No. 3572 as amended <br /> 13 <br /> by Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1025-84 reads as follows: <br /> 14 <br /> 15 "C-2 -- HEAVY COMMERCIAL - LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONE <br /> 16 A. R-2 permitted uses with R-2 standards; <br /> B. R-4 permitted uses with R-4 standards; <br /> 17 C. B-3 permitted uses; <br /> D. C-1 permitted uses; <br /> 18 E. Auto wrecking yards with sight obscuring fence; <br /> F. Public transportation system terminals; <br /> 19 G. Bottling works for soft drinks only; <br /> H. Dyeing and dry cleaning plants; <br /> 20 I. Laundries; <br /> J. Machine shops; <br /> 21 K. Furniture manufacturing and repair; <br /> L. Blacksmith, welding and metal fabricating shops; <br /> 22 M. Commercial and wholesale bakeries; <br /> N. Boat building; <br /> 23 O. Sheet metal shops; <br /> P. Tinsmiths; <br /> 24 Q. Printing and publishing establishments; <br /> R. Cereal mills; <br /> 25 S. Flour or feed mill; <br /> T. Grain elevators; <br /> 26 U. Stone monument works; <br /> V. Junk yards with sight obscuring fences; <br /> 27 W. Manufacturing, compounding, processing, packaging, or treatment <br /> of such products as bakery goods, candy, cosmetics, pharmaceu- <br /> 28 ticals, toiletries, and food products; <br /> X. Manufacturing of articles or merchandising from the following <br /> 29 previously prepared materials: bone, canvas, cellophane, cloth, <br /> cork, feathers, plastics, precious or semiprecious metals or stones, <br /> 30 sheet metal no heavier than 14 gauge, shell, textiles, tobacco, wax, <br /> wire, wood, or yarns; <br /> 31 Y. Manufacturing of musical instruments, toys, novelties, rubber or <br /> metal stamps, or other small moulded rubber products; <br /> 32 <br />
