SW Everett.
1. An elevated wooden deck attached to the north side of the main house has been altered to include enclosure walls
and roofing to create habitable enclosed space beneath. This space is being used for cooking with high output gas fired
appliances. Other kitchen equipment was observed in place such as a sink and refrigeration equipment.
I conducted a permit search for these alterations and am unable to locate required permits for this work. See IPMC
108.1.4 "Unlawful Structure."
2. The high BTU output gas fired appliances observed in place, lack required clearances to combustibles and are not
designed or approved for this type of installation. See IPMC 108.1.2 and 603.1 "Unsafe Equipment."
3.The refrigeration equipment lacks suitable electrical wiring, extension cords were observed.See IPMC 605.4 "
Wiring."
4.The sink being used lacks an approved drain or sewer connection.Wastewater from this sink is being discharged onto
the ground. See IPMC 506.1 "Sanitary Drainage System"
5. Additionally, a shed structure located to the west of the house is located within a required side yard setback
area. This is a zoning code violation.
In summary, the issues mentioned here are all violations of code as indicated above.
I appreciate and encourage enforcement action to abate these violations
Regards
Ted M.de Budden
Chief Inspector
Everett Building Department
425.257 7271
From: Donald Cunningham
Sent: Monday, August 14, 2017 9:39 AM
To: Ted de Budden
Subject: 905 91st PI SW
