,u, <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO. / '&-5V <br /> 2 <br /> AN ORDINANCE assuming management and control of portions of the <br /> 3 Mukilteo Water District and repealing Ordinance No. 969-83. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 WHEREAS, the City of Everett commencing in January 1, 1958, and continuing <br /> 6 to date has annexed substantial territory of the Mukilteo Water District (hereafter <br /> 7 called the "District"); and <br /> 8 WHEREAS, the City of Everett reached agreement on May 23, 1984, concerning <br /> 9 annexations of portions of the District to the City under which agreement the City will <br /> 10 take over water services to all areas currently annexed to the City and will refrain <br /> 11 from taking over water service of the District in future annexed areas until certain <br /> 12 District facilities improvements are partially amortized; and <br /> 13 WHEREAS, under the terms of said agreement, the City's proceedings regarding <br /> 14 complete assumption of the District should be dismissed; <br /> 15 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 16 Section 1: Ordinance No. 969-83 assuming full jurisdiction of the Mukilteo <br /> 17 Water District is hereby repealed. <br /> 18 Section 2: The Mayor and City Attorney shall give notice to the Snohomish <br /> 19 County Boundary Review Board of the May 23, 1984, agreement between the District <br /> 20 and City and shall take such actions as are appropriate to fulfill the terms of said <br /> 21 agreement. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 2192-de*77 <br /> 24 MAYO <br /> 25 ATTEST: <br /> 26 rt-e--a—e--i--LAIC:)4er-k_,h_y_e‘__,' <br /> CITY CLERK <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Passed: 7- 2- ?L <br /> 29 Valid: 7 - <br /> 30 Published: ^ /i ^.Py <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
