Violations & EMC Sections Inspection of the property reveals the following conditions and violations: Conditions observed on the property constitute violations of International Residential Code R113.1 Unlawful acts as adopted in EMC 16.01 Everett Building Code, which states; It shall be un/awful for any person, firm or corporation to erect, construct, alter, extend, repair, move, remove, demolish or occupy any building, structure or equipment regulated by this code, or cause the same to be done, in conflict with or in violation of any of the provisions of this code, International Residential Code R114.2 Unlawful continuance. which states; Any person who shall continue any work in or about the structure after having been served with a stop work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall be subject to penalties as prescribed by law. EMC16.01.040 (Q) R114.3 Unlawful to remove or deface which states; It shall be unlawful for any person to remove or deface any placard applied pursuant to this section until the required repairs, demolition or removal have been completed and a certificate of occupancy is issued pursuant to the provisions of this code.
