Ted Budden MVO( G 5
From: Ted Budden
Sent: Monday, January 25, 2016 12:43 PM
To: Donald Cunningham
Subject: 2608 Virginia Ave
Don,
Thanks for coordinating the inspection we conducted of the houses located at 2608 Virginia Ave Friday AM.
The information we gained during the inspection will be put to good use during the plan review and inspection process
to follow. I will pass along to Plans examiner Jeff Heilman the following information to help with his plan review.
1.The Main house has been altered without permits to include the removal of Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical
systems.
2.The Main house has been structurally damaged because of damage to and the removal of some of the main
supporting members. Walls, Beams, Floor joists etc.
3.The Main house has been "gutted" down to the framing members and is not habitable. The secondary house is
relatively intact and can be more easily and readily rehabilitated for habitation.
4. Both houses lacked fire resistive separation between garage and house.
5. Both houses require corrections to egress stairways and railings.
6. Additional permits are required for the repairs and alterations of both houses.
Regards
Ted Budden
Chief Inspector
Everett Building Department
425.257 7271
1
