I spoke with the current owner, who indicates he and his father-in-law performed <br /> substantial remodeling work to the house 5+years ago without obtaining permits. The single story structure now has a <br /> stairway leading to the attic where they were intending to finish a master bedroom with bat�,room and shower. They <br /> performed substantial alteration including:they have removed at least one interior wall (SW corner of main floor), <br /> installed a wood burning stove (currently out of the house—intended to be replaced) created the stairway to the attic, <br /> installed a bathroom upstairs with water and electric features,were working to finish the attic space, and installed a sky <br /> light. <br /> I am intending to issue a violation citation for Work without Permits IRC 105.1 and Unlawful Structure as defined by <br /> IPMC 108.1.4, in violation of IPMC 106.1.
