• <br /> , . <br /> ORDINANCE NO . /00'/- <br /> AN ORDINANCE establishing the <br /> non-salary items of compensation <br /> granted the Appointive Officers <br /> and Elected Officials of the City <br /> of Everett and repealing <br /> Ordinance No. 693-80. <br /> WHEREAS , it is in the best interest of the City to provide to <br /> all Appointive Officers non-salary items of compensation, commonly <br /> referred to as fringe benefits, which are at least comparable to <br /> those provided to private industry , other governmental <br /> jurisdictions, and those provided to City employees represented by <br /> labor organizations ; and <br /> WHEREAS , it is in the best interest of the City to grant <br /> certain items of non-salary compensation to the Elected Officials of <br /> the City of Everett , <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : <br /> Section 1 : Appointive Officers: <br /> A. The work week for all Appointive Officers of the City <br /> shall be established by the Mayor in accordance with <br /> what he deems necessary and appropriate for efficient <br /> functioning of the City government . Appointive Officers <br /> shall in no instance be accorded premium pay for the <br /> following : Overtime , longevity , call back, or if <br /> 'necessary , for working on a holiday designated in this <br /> Ordinance. <br /> B . The City shall provide an insurance plan for all <br /> Appointive Officers comprised of the following : <br /> 1. Basic and major medical coverage for the <br /> Appointive Officer and his/her eligible dependents. <br /> 2 . A dental plan for the Appointive Officer and <br /> his/her eligible dependents. <br /> 3. The face amount of life insurance and the <br /> principle sum of accidental death and <br /> dismemberment insurance for an Appointive Officer <br /> under age 70 shall be equal to two times the <br /> Appointive Officer ' s basic annual earnings, <br /> rounded to the next higher multiple of $1 , 000, if <br /> not already a multiple of $1, 000 plus $2 , 000. The <br /> maximum face amount and maximum principle sum <br /> shall each be $150, 000. <br />
