CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> c. Reschedule activities. <br /> If requested by the City's Representative, the Contractor shall prepare a proposed ' <br /> schedule revision demonstrating a plan to make up the lag in progress and insure <br /> completion of the Work within the Contract Time. All actions taken to return the Project <br /> to the accepted schedule are at the Contractor's expense. <br /> The Contractor shall pay all costs incurred by the City that result from the Contractor's <br /> action to return the Project to its accepted schedule, including, but not limited to, <br /> additional, overtime, or third party inspection, design and construction management <br /> service costs. Contractor agrees that City shall deduct such charges from payments <br /> due the Contractor. It is further understood and agreed that none of the services <br /> performed by the City's Representative in monitoring, reviewing and reporting Project <br /> status and progress shall relieve the Contractor of responsibility for planning and <br /> managing construction Work in conformance with the construction schedule. <br /> 1-08.4(2) Special Construction Constraints <br /> (******) <br /> Refer to 1-08.0(2) for work hours. Crossing Rucker Avenue will require night or <br /> weekend scheduling. <br /> Refer to 1-07.23(1) for construction under traffic and 1.07.23(1)A for general traffic <br /> requirements. <br /> Refer to 7-15.3 for installing services under cement concrete pavement, curbs and <br /> sidewalks. <br /> Provide notice in accordance with 8-20.3(1) of these Special Provisions to City of <br /> Everett Traffic Department before cutting induction loop wiring. <br /> Pay particular attention to maximum length allowed between sampling points on new <br /> water main in accordance with 7-09.3(24)H FINAL FLUSHING AND TESTING. <br /> Phase work on 35th Street between Federal Avenue and Rucker Avenue is done while <br /> school is out, generally between middle of June and end of August. <br /> City may approve full block street closures along Rainier Avenue as part of <br /> Contractor's Temporary Traffic Control Plan. Maintain pedestrian access during full <br /> block closures. Temporary roadway and sidewalk patching shall be completed prior to <br /> re-opening a closed block of street. <br /> Pay particular attention to maximum length allowed between sampling points on new <br /> water main in accordance with 7-09.3(24)H FINAL FLUSHING AND TESTING. , <br /> Upon completion of pipe installation and trench backfilling to specifications, promptly <br /> restore street, driveway and sidewalk surfaces using Temporary Pavement Patch and <br /> permit public use and access for City inspection activities. Provide heavy duty steel <br /> plates or 4-inch thick Temporary Pavement Patch for streets and driveway surfaces <br /> and 2-inch thick Temporary Pavement Patch for sidewalk surfaces. <br /> Parking spaces are normally very limited in most areas of the project and the <br /> Contractor will be required to cooperate with the City in resolving parking issues. In <br /> general, businesses and residents who rely on on-street parking and are displaced by <br /> the construction shall be given priority for the nearest available parking location. The <br /> Contractor's employees may be required to park their personal vehicles away from the <br /> area of construction. <br /> 1-08.5 Time for Completion ' <br /> Delete all of 1-08.5 and substitute the following: <br /> Water Main Replacement"S" Division 1 —GENERAL REQUIREMENTS January 29, 2018 <br /> WO No—UP3664 SP—96 <br />
