I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> DIVISION 9 — MATERIALS <br /> 1 9-03 AGGREGATES <br /> 9-03.6 Vacant <br /> Delete 9-03.6 and substitute the following: <br /> 9-03.6 Aggregates for Asphalt Treated Base (ATB) <br /> 9-03.6(1) General Requirements <br /> Aggregates for asphalt treated base shall be manufactured from ledge rock, talus, or <br /> gravel, in accordance with the provisions of Section 3-01 that meet the following test <br /> requirements: <br /> Los Angeles Wear, 500 Rev. 30% max. <br /> Degradation Factor 15 min. <br /> 9-03.6(2) Grading <br /> Aggregates for asphalt treated base shall meet the following requirements for grading: <br /> Sieve Size Percent Passing <br /> 1 2" 100 <br /> 1/2" 56-100 <br /> No. 4 32-72 <br /> No. 10 22-57 <br /> No. 40 8-32 <br /> No. 200 2.0-9.0 <br /> All percentages are by weight. <br /> 9-03.6(3) Test Requirements <br /> When the aggregates are combined within the limits set forth in Section 9-03.6(2) and <br /> mixed in the laboratory with the designated grade of asphalt, the mixture shall be <br /> capable of meeting the following test values: <br /> % of Theoretical Maximum Specific Gravity (GMM) (approximate) 93@ <br /> 100 gyrations <br /> AASHTO T324, WSDOT TM T718 or ASTM D3625 Pass <br /> (Acceptable anti-strip evaluation tests) <br /> The sand equivalent value of the mineral aggregate for asphalt treated base (ATB) <br /> shall not be less than 35. <br /> I <br /> 1 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> Water Main Improvement S Division 9—MATERIALS January 29, 2018 <br /> WO No.—UP3664 SP—171 <br />
