CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> 1-02.4 Examination of Plans, Specifications, and Site of Work <br /> 1-02.4(1) General <br /> Delete the fifth paragraph of 1-02.4(1), beginning with "Bid prices shall reflect", and <br /> substitute the following: <br /> Bid prices shall include everything necessary for the completion of the Work <br /> including, but not limited to, providing the materials, equipment, tools, plant and <br /> other facilities, and the management, superintendence, labor, and all necessary <br /> ' testing services. <br /> Revise the first sentence in the last paragraph to read as follows: <br /> Any prospective Bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the Bid <br /> ' Documents, shall request the explanation or interpretation in writing by close of <br /> business three business days preceding the bid opening to allow a written reply to <br /> reach all prospective Bidders before the submission of their Bids. <br /> ' Supplement 1-02.4(1) by adding the following: <br /> Bidder acknowledges that he/she has not relied on representation or warranty of <br /> the City not expressly included in the Contract Documents. <br /> ' The information provided by the City is not intended to be a substitute for, or a <br /> supplement to, the independent verification by the Bidder to the extent such <br /> independent investigation of the Drawings and Specifications or Site conditions is <br /> ' deemed necessary or desirable by the Bidder. Bidder acknowledges that they <br /> have not relied upon City or Engineer furnished information regarding site <br /> conditions in preparing and submitting a Bid. <br /> ' Further supplement 1-02.4(1) by adding the following: <br /> 1-02.4(1)A Interpretation of Contract Documents <br /> ' Should a Bidder find what is believed to be discrepancies in or omissions from the <br /> Plans, Specifications, or Special Provisions, or should the Bidder be in doubt as to <br /> their meaning, Bidder may submit to the Engineer a written request for an <br /> interpretation thereof. The Bidder submitting the request will be responsible for its <br /> prompt delivery. Any interpretation of the documents, if made, will be made only <br /> by addendum duly issued and a copy of such addendum will be mailed or <br /> delivered to each Bidder receiving a set of such documents. All requests for <br /> ' interpretations must be received by the City or Engineer no later than 7 <br /> calendar days prior to the Proposal opening date. All questions regarding the <br /> Contract Documents shall be referred to the City or Engineer at the address <br /> provided in the Contract Documents. <br /> 1-02.4(1)B Prevailing Wages <br /> (******) <br /> Bidder is directed to 1-07.9(1) of these Special Provisions for requirements <br /> regarding applying payment of prevailing wage rates for employment of labor on <br /> within Snohomish County. <br /> ' 1-02.4(2) Subsurface Information <br /> Delete the first paragraph and substitute the following: <br /> If the City has made subsurface investigation of the site of the proposed Work, the <br /> ' boring log data and soil sample test data accumulated by the City will be made <br /> available for inspection by the Bidders. The boring logs and soil sample test data <br /> shall NOT be considered as part of the Contract.
