LICENSING,ACCREDITATION AND REGISTRATION <br /> The Contractor shall comply with all applicable local,state,and federal licensing, accreditation and <br /> registration requirements or standards necessary for the performance of this Contract. <br /> 24. LIMITATION OF AUTHORITY <br /> Only the Authorized Representative or Authorized Representative's designee by writing(designation to <br /> be made prior to action)shall have the express, implied, or apparent authority to alter, amend, modify, <br /> or waive any clause or condition of this Contract. <br /> 25. LOCAL PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION COORDINATION <br /> Where applicable, Contractor shall participate in local public transportation forums and implement <br /> strategies designed to ensure access to services. <br /> 26. NONCOMPLIANCE WITH NONDISCRIMINATION LAWS <br /> During the performance of this Contract,the Contractor shall comply with all federal, state,and local <br /> nondiscrimination laws, regulations and policies. In the event of the Contractor's non-compliance or <br /> refusal to comply with any nondiscrimination law, regulation or policy,this contract may be rescinded, <br /> canceled or terminated in whole or in part,and the Contractor may be declared ineligible for further <br /> contracts with THE BOARD. The Contractor shall, however, be given a reasonable time in which to cure <br /> this noncompliance.Any dispute may be resolved in accordance with the"Disputes" procedure set <br /> forth herein. <br /> 27. POLITICAL ACTIVITIES <br /> Political activity of Contractor employees and officers are limited by the State Campaign Finances and <br /> Lobbying provisions of Chapter 42.17A RCW and the Federal Hatch Act,5 USC 1501- 1508. <br /> No funds may be used for working for or against ballot measures or for or against the candidacy of any <br /> person for public office. <br /> 28. PREVAILING WAGE LAW <br /> The Contractor certifies that all contractors and subcontractors performing work on the Project shall <br /> comply with state Prevailing Wages on Public Works,Chapter 39.12 RCW, as applicable to the Project <br /> funded by this contract, including but not limited to the filing of the "Statement of Intent to Pay <br /> Prevailing Wages" and "Affidavit of Wages Paid" as required by RCW 39.12.040. The Contractor shall <br /> maintain records sufficient to evidence compliance with Chapter 39.12 RCW,and shall make such <br /> records available for THE BOARD's review upon request. <br /> CERB Planning Contract Page i 16 <br />
