Cooling of I 12 the coarse aggregate piles by sprinkling with water is permitted provided the moisture 13 content is monitored, the mixing water is adjusted for the free water in the aggregate 14 and the coarse aggregate is removed from at least 1 foot above the bottom of the pile. 15 Sprinkling of fine aggregate piles with water is not allowed. Refrigerating mixing water or 16 replacing all or part of the mixing water with crushed ice is permitted, provided the ice is 17 completely melted by placing time. 18 I 19 The second sentence of the second paragraph is revised to read: 20 21 These surfaces include forms, reinforcing steel, steel beam flanges, and any others that I 22 touch the concrete. 23 24 6-02.3(10)D5 Bridge Deck Concrete Finishing and Texturing I 25 in the third subparagraph of the first paragraph, the last sentence is revised to read: 26 27 The Contractor shall texture the bridge deck surface to within 3-inches minimum and I 28 24-inches maximum of the edge of concrete at expansion joints, within 1-foot minimum 29 and 2-feet maximum of the curb line, and within 3-inches minimum and 9-inches 30 maximum of the perimeter of bridge drain assemblies.
