1 <br /> 2 The first sentence of the last paragraph is revised to read: <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Steel used for light and signal standards shall have a controlled silicon content of either <br /> 5 0.00 to 0.06 percent or 0.15 to 0.25 percent. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 9-29.6(5) Foundation Hardware <br /> 8 In the last paragraph, "AASHTO M232" is revised to read "ASTM F 2329". <br /> 9 <br /> 10 9-29.10(1) Conventional Roadway Luminaires <br /> 11 This section is revised to read: <br /> 12 <br /> 13 All conventional roadway luminaires shall meet 3G vibration requirements as described <br /> 14 in ANSI C136.31. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 All luminaires shall have housings fabricated from aluminum. The housing shall be <br /> 17 painted flat gray, SAE AMS Standard 595 color chip No. 26280, unless otherwise <br /> 18 specified in the Contract. Painted housings shall withstand a 1,000 hour salt spray test <br /> 19 as specified in ASTM B117. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Each housing shall include a four bolt slip-fitter mount capable of accepting a nominal 2" <br /> 22 tenon and adjustable within +1- 5 degrees of the axis of the tenon. The clamping <br /> 23 bracket(s) and the cap screws shall not bottom out on the housing bosses when <br /> 24 adjusted within the +1- 5 degree range. No part of the slipfitter mounting brackets on the <br /> 25 luminaires shall develop a permanent set in excess of 0.2 inch when the cap screws <br /> 26 used for mounting are tightened to a torque of 32 foot-pounds. Each luminaire shall <br /> 27 include leveling reference points for both transverse and longitudinal adjustment. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 All luminaires shall include shorting caps when shipped. The caps shall be removed and <br /> 30 provided to the Contracting Agency when an alternate control device is required to be <br /> 31 installed in the photocell socket. House side shields shall be included when required by <br /> 32 the Contract. Order codes shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to include <br /> 33 the option for house side shields. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 This section is supplemented with the following new subsections: <br /> 36 <br /> 37 9-29.10(1)A High Pressure Sodium (HPS) Conventional Roadway <br /> 38 Luminaires <br /> 39 HPS conventional roadway luminaires shall meet the following requirements: <br /> 40 <br /> 41 1. General shape shall be "cobrahead" style, with flat glass lens and full cutoff <br /> 42 optics. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 2. Light pattern distribution shall be IES Type III. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 3. The reflector of all luminaires shall be of a snap-in design or secured with <br /> 47 screws. The reflector shall be polished aluminum or prismatic borosilicate <br /> 48 glass. <br /> 49 <br /> 50 4. Flat lenses shall be formed from heat resistant, high-impact, molded <br /> 51 borosilicate or tempered glass. <br /> 52 <br /> 53 5.
