Stainless steel <br /> 5 sheet for fabric pad bearing assemblies shall have a thickness greater than or <br /> 6 equal to 14-gage. <br /> I <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Stainless steel countersunk screws shall be hexagon socket type conforming to the <br /> 9 geometric requirements of ANSI B 18.3 and shall conform to ASTM F 593 Type I 10 304L. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 9-31.3 Bearing Blocks and Keeper Rings <br /> 13 Bearing block forgings for pin bearing assemblies shall conform to Section 9-06.11, <br /> 14 including AASHTO M 102 Supplemental Requirement S4. The grade shall be <br /> 15 Grade F. The bearing block forging surfaces in contact with other pin bearing <br /> 16 assembly components shall have an average surface roughness of 63-microinches <br /> 17 or less. All other bearing block forging surfaces shall have an average surface <br /> 18 roughness of 250-microinches or less. <br /> I <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Keeper ring forgings for pin bearing assemblies shall conform to Section 9-06.11, <br /> 21 and the grade shall be Grade H. All keeper ring surfaces shall have an average <br /> 22 surface roughness of 125-microinches or less. 1 <br /> 23 <br /> 24 9-31.4 Pin Assembly <br /> 25 Pins shall conform to ASTM A 276 UNS Designation 21800. The pin surfaces in <br /> 26 contact with the bearing block shall have an average surface roughness of 63- <br /> 27 microinches or less. <br /> 28 I 29 Nuts shall conform to ASTM A 563 Grade DH. Nuts with a thread diameter equal to <br /> 30 or less than six-inches shall have a minimum Rockwell Hardness of HRc 24. Nuts <br /> 31 with a thread diameter greater than six-inches shall have a Rockwell Hardness <br /> 32 between HRc 20 and HRc 30. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Washers shall conform to ASTM A 572 Grade 50. w <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Cotter pins shall be stainless steel. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 9-31.5 Welded Shear Connectors <br /> 39 Welded shear connectors shall conform to Section 9-06.15. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 9-31.6 Bolts, Nuts and Washers <br /> 42 Bolts, nuts and washers shall conform to Section 9-06.5(3). <br /> 43 <br /> 44 9-31.7 Anchor Array Rods, Nuts and Washers <br /> 45 Anchor array rods, nuts and washers shall conform to Section 9-06.5(4).
