The Roof Reinforcer <br /> SCOPE <br /> This report, and any associated plans and calculations, have been developed for the sole <br /> purpose of assessing the adequacy of the roof structure at the address listed to support specific <br /> new roof mounted HVAC equipment listed within this report under gravity loads. <br /> Where included in this report, lateral load connections to curbs above the roof have been <br /> provided as a courtesy to the client. These connections may be safely used if the equipment <br /> suppliers or the curb suppliers or the installation contractors have not provided alternative <br /> properly engineered connections. <br /> Investigation, analysis and design of seismic bracing or connections of either new or existing <br /> HVAC accoutrements such as ducting have not been requested by the client and are not <br /> included in the scope of this report. Should assistance with these items be desired, please <br /> contact the preparer and we will do our best to provide you with appropriate and professional <br /> guidance. <br /> THE USE OF THIS REPORT <br /> This report is for the exclusive use of our client and for the sole purpose for which it was <br /> created. Other persons or companies should not rely upon any portion of this report for any <br /> other purposes. Should others persons or companies be interested in any item in this report, <br /> they are invited to contact the preparer and we will do our best to provide you with appropriate <br /> and professional guidance. <br /> SITE VISIT <br /> The preparer of this report has not visited the site. The client furnished plans for the building <br /> which were deemed sufficient for the formulation of the conclusions in this report. These <br /> conclusions are based upon the following two assumptions. A) The furnished plans are correct <br /> and correctly describe the current building structure. B) The current building structure is <br /> undamaged and uncompromised in any way. These two assumptions are not unreasonable, <br /> but the preparer of this report disclaims any warrantee as to the accuracy of either of these <br /> assumptions. Should professional verification of these assumptions be desired, please contact <br /> the preparer and we will do our best to provide you with appropriate and professional guidance. <br /> DISCLAIMER <br /> This report is not an exhaustive structural assessment of the structure as a whole, nor of any <br /> parts of the structure. The report relies upon presuppositions that are generally understood in <br /> the engineering community. Such presuppositions include that the building and any subsequent <br /> modifications were properly designed and permitted; and that the materials used were properly <br /> graded and constructed. Therefore an inch by inch inspection was not performed and no <br /> destructive testing was performed. This report therefore may not be deemed in any way at all <br /> as warrantee that the building as a whole or any of its parts are structurally sound for any other <br /> purpose. Specifically this report shall not be used or relied upon in the selling or purchasing or <br /> financing or leasing or insuring of the building.
