E <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> A. Project Description: <br /> The goal of this project is to design aesthetic enhancement elements for 24 bus stops (of which <br /> 22 have bus shelters)on the North Broadway Transit Corridor between 34th Street and 7th <br /> Street.This corridor touches the Northwest, Delta, Bayside, Riverside tnd Port Gardner <br /> neighborhoods as well as key destinations and major attractions in the city: Everett Community <br /> College,Washington State University Everett, Providence Hospital and Angel of the Winds <br /> Arena.Community and stakeholder input are key requirements for this project. <br /> Aesthetic elements the Contractor may address, but are not limited to,are lighted iconic <br /> markers,the shelter panels,seating, bike racks or wayfinding elements. <br /> R. Requirements: <br /> 1. The Contractor agrees that an essential element of this agreement is the skill and creativity <br /> of the Contractor.The Contractor,therefore,shall not assign the creative or aesthetic <br /> portions of the Work to another party without the written consent of the City. <br /> 2. Contractor will conduct an initial assessment of the project which includes: an analysis of <br /> the public transit spaces, list of optimal material choices,possible approaches to the design <br /> of the bus shelter features as well as the recommended strategies for gathering stakeholder <br /> and community input. <br /> 3. An essential component that guides the aesthetic process and design of the bus shelters is <br /> community and stakeholder input.The Contractor will conduct a minimum of three <br /> community meetings to gather input that informs the design. City will provide the <br /> community meeting space, promote the meeting to the community and provide <br /> refreshments. <br /> 4. The Contractor will hold a minimum of one community meeting to share the design of the <br /> aesthetic enhancements for the bus shelters. City will provide the community meeting <br /> space, promote the meeting to the community and provide refreshments. <br /> 5. Contractor will consult with Everett Transit staff to insure the design elements and materials <br /> are weatherproof/weather-resistant for the climate, durable, maintainable for transit staff <br /> and coordinates with Everett Transit's branding. <br /> 6. The Contractor's fabrication drawings and materials selections need to be drawn and <br /> stamped by a professional engineer and approved by City of Everett engineers. <br /> 7. The Contractor will provide the city with a budget detailing materials,fabrication and <br /> installation costs, approved by Everett Transit Program Manager. <br /> 8. The Contractor will provide the City with an installation timeline, approved by Everett <br /> Transit Program Manager. <br /> 89 <br />
