EVERETT POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> CODE ENFORCEMENT UNIT <br /> April 12, 2018 <br /> Evertrust <br /> Peter Eriksen, Trustee of Evertrust <br /> 9532 SW 0 Road <br /> Royal City, WA 99357 <br /> Re: Case #CE16-0481: Hearing Examiner Order Property Abatement <br /> Violation Address: 1611 24th St, Everett, WA 98201 <br /> Dear Evertrust & Mr. Ericksen, <br /> On July 7, 2016 the City of Everett Hearing Examiner issued an Order requiring you to abate the <br /> violations of EMC 8.20.020; IPMC 301; and IPMC 106 on the property noted above. The Order <br /> assessed a $2000.00 fine. You failed to abate all or part of the violations. Pursuant to the <br /> Superior Court Warrant of abatement dated November 3, 2017 the City abated the outstanding <br /> violations. <br /> The abatement of the violations on the property was completed on March 15, 2018, pursuant to <br /> the Superior Court Warrant of abatement and provisions of the Everett Municipal Code, chapter <br /> 1.20. The cost to the City for this work and the Hearing Examiner fine is $76,111.42. An <br /> invoice is attached. According to EMC 1.20.090 (B), all costs of abatement, including incidental <br /> expenses, shall be billed to the Respondent and become due and payable 30 days from the <br /> date of this bill or by May 12, 2018. <br /> Please note that IF you fail to pay the abatement costs by the date above, the City will <br /> request that the Everett City Council pass a Resolution confirming expenses incurred by <br /> the City while performing abatement of violations and authorizing placement of a tax lien <br /> against the subject property. This hearing before the City Council will occur on MAY 16, <br /> 2018, IF you have failed to timely pay the aforementioned abatement costs.
