Ted Budden
From: Ted Budden
Sent: Monday,June 08, 2015 3:03 PM
To: Donald Cunningham
Subject: 10708 Holly Drive
Don,
Here is a summary of my observations and actions concerning the inspection conducted with you this afternoon for the
accessory structure located at 10708 Holly Drive.
The exterior deck/ balcony and storage structure that is connected to the south side of the detached garage accessory
structure has deteriorated and is not structurally sound.
Structural members and flooring components have deterioration and are not capable of safely supporting all loads.
This structure serves the second floor of the detached garage building. The second floor of the garage has access to this
deteriorated structure. A stairway from the ground serves this structure.
These defects are defined as Unsafe Conditions by section 304.1.1 of the IPMC.
This structure is an Unsafe Structure as defined by section 108.1.1 of the IPMC.
Children and persons unaware of these conditions have potential access to this structure. This structure is unsafe for
use in its current condition.
I have posted the detached accessory with an Unsafe Structure placard.
I support and encourage enforcement action in this matter.
Thank you for the opportunity to assist in this matter.
Ted Budden
Chief Inspector
Everett Building Department
1
