The ordinance included funding for repairs and build out of the Snohomish County 911 leased space and phase one of the parking lot expansion. This expansion at the South Precinct requires an additional 30 parking stalls. KPFF has been selected from the Municipal Resource and Services Center Roster to provide the civil engineering services for the project. The scope of the recommended Professional Services Agreement(PSA)is to prepare a preliminary design and construction cost estimate for the parking lot and the cost for these services is an amount not to exceed $23,000. Staff will recommend that the PSA and Ordinance be amended in the future after the preliminary design has been completed and an agreement has been reached with Snohomish County 911 regarding funding responsibility for the remaining design tasks and parking lot construction. RECOMIVIENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign a Professional Services Agreement with KPFF for Civil Engineering Services for the South Precinct—Parking Lot Expansion Projetin the amount not to exceed$23,000.
