This contract is utilized on an as needed basis. Invitations to bid were sent to four potential bidders, advertised in The Herald, and posted on the City's website. Responses were received as shown on the attached bid tabulation. Staff is recommending awarding multiple contracts as listed below: Awarding multiple contracts allows Public Works to utilize different quarries based on price, availability and location of projects. The award amounts are based on estimated usage and quantities. Tax is not included in the award amounts because gravel may be picked up directly from the quarry. The award is for a one—year contract with four—one year renewal options.
