RESOLUTION NO. 7253 A RESOLUTION concerning 2018 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan and allocations of CDBG, HOME and 2060 Housing Trust Funds WHEREAS, the Everett City Council recognizes the need for certain housing and community development programs in Everett; and WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been made available through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for these programs, and Everett is due to receive $878,672 for 2018; and WHEREAS, through Interlocal agreements, the City of Everett will receive HOME funds and 2060 Housing Trust funds from Snohomish County this year; and WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development (CAC) has studied the housing and community development needs and priorities for Everett and has made its recommendations for CDBG funds, HOME funds, and 2060 Housing Trust funds; and WHEREAS,the Everett City Council has reviewed the recommendations from the CAC; and WHEREAS, the 2018 Annual Action Plan is proposed in cooperation with Snohomish County and local non-profit service providers through notice and consultation as required by HUD; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: 1. Projects to be funded in 2018 Public Service Projects (CDBG) Recommended Assistance League Operation School Bell-Clothes for School $6,993 Children Bridgeways Safe Streets Employment Program $15,000 Catholic Community Services Volunteer Transportation $4,000 Cocoon House: WayOUT (Recidivism prevention youth $10,000 offenders and at-risk youth) Community Health Center Adult Dental Care for the Uninsured $6,000 Hand in Hand Village Impact Project $5,000 Housing Hope College of Hope $16,000 Homage Meals on Wheels $13,000 Snohomish County Legal Services Housing Justice Project $10,000 1
