RESOLUTION NO. 7253 <br /> A RESOLUTION concerning <br /> 2018 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan <br /> and allocations of CDBG, HOME and 2060 Housing Trust Funds <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council recognizes the need for certain housing and community <br /> development programs in Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been made available through <br /> the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for these programs, and <br /> Everett is due to receive $878,672 for 2018; and <br /> WHEREAS, through Interlocal agreements, the City of Everett will receive HOME funds and 2060 <br /> Housing Trust funds from Snohomish County this year; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development (CAC) has <br /> studied the housing and community development needs and priorities for Everett and has made its <br /> recommendations for CDBG funds, HOME funds, and 2060 Housing Trust funds; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett City Council has reviewed the recommendations from the CAC; and <br /> WHEREAS, the 2018 Annual Action Plan is proposed in cooperation with Snohomish County and local <br /> non-profit service providers through notice and consultation as required by HUD; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> THAT: <br /> 1. Projects to be funded in 2018 <br /> Public Service Projects (CDBG) Recommended <br /> Assistance League Operation School Bell-Clothes for School $6,993 <br /> Children <br /> Bridgeways Safe Streets Employment Program $15,000 <br /> Catholic Community Services Volunteer Transportation $4,000 <br /> Cocoon House: WayOUT (Recidivism prevention youth $10,000 <br /> offenders and at-risk youth) <br /> Community Health Center Adult Dental Care for the <br /> Uninsured $6,000 <br /> Hand in Hand Village Impact Project $5,000 <br /> Housing Hope College of Hope $16,000 <br /> Homage Meals on Wheels $13,000 <br /> Snohomish County Legal Services Housing Justice Project $10,000 <br /> 1 <br />
