• <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO. 53 7 7-670? <br /> 2 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending the taxation provisions of Ordinance <br /> 3 No. 268-73, as amended by Ordinance 341-74 (EMC 3.36.020), <br /> relating to certain gambling activities. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN as follows: <br /> 6 <br /> Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 268-73, as amended by Ordinance <br /> No. 341-74 (EMC 3.36.020), which reads as follows: <br /> 8 <br /> 9 "There is hereby levied upon and shall be collected from and paid as <br /> hereinafter provided by every organization conducting bingo, raffles and <br /> 10 amusement games as authorized pursuant to Chapter 9.46 RCW as <br /> amended, a 'tax' in an amount of three and one-half (3 1/2) percent of the <br /> 11 gross revenues received from such bingo, raffles and amusement games." <br /> 12 <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 13 <br /> 14 "There is hereby levied upon and shall be collected from and paid as <br /> hereinafter provided by every organization conducting bingo, raffles and <br /> 15 amusement games as authorized pursuant to Chapter 9.46 RCW as <br /> amended, a 'tax' in an amount of two (2) percent of the gross revenues <br /> 16 received from such bingo, raffles and amusement games." <br /> 17 Section 2: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 268-73, as amended by Section 1 of <br /> 18 Ordinance No. 339-74 (EMC 3.36.030), which reads as follows: <br /> 19 <br /> 20 "There is hereby levied upon and shall be collected from and paid as <br /> hereinafter provided by every person, association or organization utilizing <br /> 21 punch boards and pull tabs as authorized pursuant to Chapter 9.46 RCW as <br /> amended, a tax of 3 1/2 percent of the gross revenue received from such <br /> 22 punch boards and pull tabs." <br /> 23 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 24 <br /> 25 "There is hereby levied upon and shall be collected from and paid as <br /> hereinafter provided by every person, association or organization utilizing <br /> 26 punch boards and pull tabs as authorized pursuant to Chapter 9.46 RCW as <br /> amended, a tax of 2 percent of the gross revenue received from such <br /> 27 punch boards and pull tabs." <br /> 28 Section 3: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 339-74 (EMC 3.36.035), which reads <br /> 29 as follows: <br /> 30 <br /> "There is hereby levied upon and shall be collected from and paid as <br /> 31 hereinafter provided by every person, association or organization con- <br /> ducting social card games as authorized pursuant to Chapter 49.6 RCW as <br /> 32 <br />
