/ <br /> +I+• <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT entered into this 7 day of ,r9p,e i.c. , 1982, by <br /> • and between the City of Everett, a municipal corporation under the laws of the <br /> • State of Washington, hereinafter referred to as the "CITY" and Associated Sand and <br /> Gravel Company, Inc., of 6300 Glenwood Avenue, Everett, Washington, 98203, <br /> hereinafter referred to as "ASSOCIATED". <br /> WITNESSETH THAT: <br /> WHEREAS, the CITY is aware of truck/car conflicts and road alignment <br /> problems at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Upper Ridge Road which is <br /> C caused by truck- traffic entering and leaving the Associated Sand and Gravel <br /> property and traffic using Upper Ridge Road; and <br /> WHEREAS, the CITY is aware of increasing volumes of traffic on Upper <br /> Ridge Road between Glenwood Avenue and the "Boeing Haul Road"; and <br /> WHEREAS, the CITY recognized, as evidenced in the proposed S.W. Everett <br /> Comprehensive Plan, the need for an East-West link between Glenwood Avenue and <br /> Hardeson Road that will serve future traffic demand; and <br /> WHEREAS, ASSOCIATED has previously petitioned the CITY to vacate a <br /> portion of Upper Ridge Road; and <br /> WHEREAS, ASSOCIATED has expressed a desire to mine the material located <br /> in the area of Upper Ridge Road between Glenwood Avenue and the Boeing Haul <br /> Road; and <br /> WHEREAS, ASSOCIATED recognizes the benefits that the construction of an <br /> East-West link between Glenwood Avenue and Hardeson Road would have for the <br /> future development of its property; and <br />
