A <br /> n . 4 <br /> .w.y <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO.14ta <br /> 2 AN ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor, or his designee, to let or enter <br /> 3 contracts not requiring competitive bidding on behalf of the City <br /> of Everett. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 6 Section 1: The Mayor, or designees specifically authorized by the Mayorrare <br /> 7 hereby authorized to let or enter contracts not requiring competitive bidding in the <br /> 8 following instances: <br /> 9 A. Purchases of goods or services as necessary to accomplish the functions <br /> 10 established within the appropriations approved by the Everett City Council under the <br /> 11 current annual budget. <br /> 12 B. Agreements for professional or special personal services, including but not <br /> 13 limited to, surveying, soils analysis, core testing, appraisals, financial, or other similar <br /> 14 services, as necessary to accomplish improvements specified in plans and systems <br /> 15 ordinances approved by City Council; provided, that City Council shall approve all <br /> 16 agreements for professional engineering or architectural services for the design of City <br /> 17 improvements. <br /> 18 C. Purchases of goods or services on an emergency basis. <br /> 19 Section 2: The Mayor shall be responsible to assure that all purchases of goods <br /> 20 or services in the instances specified in Section 1 are within the functions and <br /> 21 appropriations established by City Council. <br /> 22 Section 3: City Council may a*. any time by resolution require that the Mayor, <br /> 23 or his designee, obtain Council approval to let or enter contracts for certain categories <br /> 24 of goods or services. <br /> 25 <br /> / <br /> 26 MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> 27 <br /> 28 <br /> CITY CLERK <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Passed: <br /> Valid: —(0 - y )- <br /> 31 31 Published: 3 <br /> 32 <br />
