14dg"
ENGINEERING
10011111141,--k—A PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT
April 2, 2018
Alesha Stickles
alesha@rrspecialist.net
R & R Foundation Specialist
125 Main St, STE 205
Monroe, WA 98272
RE: Owner: David Beeken
Job Address: 3212 16th Ave
Plan Check Number: B1803-058
Dear Ms. Stickles,
In response to your application for a construction permit, your plans have been examined and you
are advised that revisions may be necessary before a permit can be issued. Please review and
respond to the comments below. These comments address building issues only. Additional
revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Public Works, Planning, or
Fire). All references refer to the 2015 International Building Code (IBC), as amended by the State
of Washington and adopted by the City of Everett. The current IBC referenced standard for
accessible design is the 2009 "Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities" (ICC/ANSI A117.1).
Federal ADA regulations and standards may be more restrictive. All required submittals must be of
sufficient detail and information to ensure that the proposed structure will be constructed in
compliance with all adopted codes.
In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to
provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of construction documents
reflecting the corrections requested. All revisions require the person delivering the
drawings to replace the revisions into the two sets here at our offices. For significant
revisions, or if the revisions are coming directly from a document printing facility,
please make arrangements with them to print and deliver two replacement sets.
Structural
1. The provided drawings and calculation package do not appear to have a WA professional
engineer stamp affixed. Please provide a stamp by the Engineer of Record for this design.
2. It appears that Details for piles and additional posts are not cut on the plan. Please add
these details on the plans for clarity. Also, please identify which post size is being used as
the plan callout and the detail callout appear to have conflicting size callouts.
3. On Detail 5, please identify the depth below finished grade the bottom of the proposed
footings are set at. Minimum depth of footing is 18" min from finished grade.
a.•e1of2
CITY OF EVERETT • 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 • (425) 257-8810 • Fax (425) 257-88
