A modified "operator survey"was <br /> also created for Everett Transit drivers in order to gain their feedback.The transit values survey was featured <br /> online, and could be translated into over 100 languages via Google Translate. Paper copies of the transit values <br /> survey were also available at the in-person events in English, Spanish and Russian.423 people took the transit <br /> values survey. Results from the survey showed: <br /> ► 38% of survey takers do not currently use Everett Transit <br /> Most who do use Everett Transit use it to for events and activities (34%) or to go to work(32%) <br /> ► Those that connect to other transit options primarily connect to Community Transit(37%) or the Sound <br /> Transit Express Bus (34%) <br /> ► Top reasons for why people surveyed value Everett Transit are: <br /> ► "It helps people in my community who are transit dependent" (71%) <br /> ► "It helps reduce congestion"(66%) <br /> ► "It(transit) is good for the environment" (62%) <br /> ► High frequency scored the highest out of a list of transit priorities,followed by: <br /> ► Low cost to ride <br /> ► Increased span of service <br /> ► Greater coverage <br /> ► Increased comfort and safety <br /> ► Most said local service (56%) is more important to them than commute (18%) and high-capacity service <br /> (26%). <br /> ► Access-to-transit(e.g. improved wayfinding and connections to transit and park and rides) was voted the <br /> most important emerging trend for Everett Transit to consider further(67%),followed by battery-powered <br /> buses (52%) and alternative mobility options (e.g. rideshare, carshare, bikeshare) (36%). <br /> Demographics <br /> ► 24.1%of those who took the survey do not currently live in the City of Everett <br /> ► "Student"was the most frequently listed primary occupation <br /> ►^ > <br /> 104 Everett Transit Draft Long Range Plan 21 <br />
